Go to Washington...

There are two times that I really eat well, when Amy comes to visit or when I go to visit her. It helps of coarse that her in-laws make good food too. :) It was fun to go to Washington to visit my family there but a week was a really long time. I could have done three days and been good but once the tickets where bought and I was already there it was too late to change the plan. Christmas was pretty good, it was nice to watch my nephews open their presents and I was feeling pretty cool that I was able to get good gifts for them. (All though the real hero there is Amy cause she told me what to buy) While I was there I also got to stand around in the cold while five supposedly intelligent men struggled to put together a play set for my brother-in-laws brother-in-law. It was good that we flew there though cause I love flying, I wish we could have done a few touch and goes before actually heading back to the Salt Lake airport but I guess the pilot was not on the same page as me. And of coarse Mom and I forgot out peanut butter sandwiches in Washington..... :'( I think it would be fun to go back there next Christmas too.... as long as I don't have to sleep on that hard mattress again or share a room with a loudly snoring old lady and can spend a little less time there. LOL, that almost makes it sound like I didn't enjoy myself.

Fenrir

For those of you who haven't seen it here is my "new" Mitsubishi Galant. I've gotta tell you this is a sweet ride. I love this car.

I tried to make it look heroic in these pictures but all I really did was get it dirty.... I was not happy with myself and proceeded to take myself out behind a warehouse and beat myself silly. Fortunately I was already behind a warehouse to start with.

Livin' it up in Orem

Well, I moved down to Orem today. It's kind of a strange thing coming back to the place where you spent most of your growing up years. Well, I hope it's fun. At least I wont get thirsty.

Speeking of Superfluous

Mom's been telling me to put this down for a while and so here is some stuff about that "book" that I've got in my head. Nothing is set in stone yet but if you want to get an idea of what it is that I think about while I'm bored at work then here are some of the characters. For the most part this can be described as "generic characters doing generic things in a generic world"

Boyd

Born in New Falkora, his family is gifted with amazing talent for the sword and strong magical aptitude. He joined the New Falkoren Knights at the age of 15 and became a Dragon Knight at the age of 17. At the age of 20 he became the youngest person to ever capitan the Dragon Knights. After an uprising in New Falkora that resulted in the deaths of most of the Falkoren Royal Family he escaped to the Kingdom of Bomar with his youger brother Dain and one of the Falkoren Princesses, who he ended up marrying. About a year later she gave birth to a son whome they named Alligran but shortly there after they where killed when New Falkora attacked Bomar.

Azurel

Born in Illidrea to a noble family, he is a hero of The Great War that involved The Four Great Kingdoms. After which he was promoted to second in command of the Illidrean Knights. He is known as Azurel the Beast for the sword that he wields that is as long as he is tall. He is not vary skilled in magic or with words but he is a brilliant tactician.

Khalid

Born in Illidrea to a common family, he joined the Illidrean Knights at a young age. Illidrea is the only kingdom among the four great kingdoms that allows commoners to join the knights. He is quite skilled in magic and good with the sword. He is a hero of the first great war and earned the respect and admiration of all who fought beside him. After the war he was promoted to General of the Illidrean Knights.

Dain

Born in New Falkora he is the younger brother of Boyd. He joined the New Falkoren Knights at 16 and became a Dragon Knight at the age of 18. Shortly there after there was an uprising that resulted in the deaths of most of the Falkoren Royal Family. However he and his older brother Boyd where able to escape to the kingdom of Bomar with one of the Falkoren Princesses. When Bomar was attacked he fled to the kingdom of Illidrea with Alligran who he left in the care of the royal family there. He then disappeared.

Alligran

A servant working for the Illidrean Royal Family. He doesn't remember anything about his parents except that he has been told his mother died in child birth and that his father died in The Great War. Growing up in the castle he is friends with the two Illidrean princesses. Since he did not know when he had been born he and the younger of the Illidrean Princesses decided that they could share the same birthday as they where both about the same age.

Ramis

Born in a kingdom to the south he is the current King of Illidrea. He was married to the current Queen of Illidrea to help improve diplomatic relations. Because Illidrea is ruled by the Queen and not the King he has little to do with affairs of state but he is the "head" of the Illidrean Knights.

I know it doesn't all make sense cause I'm referencing things I haven't actually explained but I'm too lazy to give you any more right now.

Running!

For those of you who don't know, (yeah right!) running is really darn hard. I've made myself a route that is about 4.4 miles. The first half mile and the last half mile are both up hill but the middle section is nicely down hill. I'm proud to say that I make it without slowing to a walk every time I try it. (yeah, all five times, that's proven history for you.) My awesome sisters are my inspiration, I don't stop when I'm tired so that they will be proud of me so, Amy, Stephanie, I hope you're proud of me, I'm pushing myself for you. :) Keep on a'treckin!

Something New

You know, sometimes blogging is hard. How do people like Amy and Stephanie always have something new to say? Maybe I just need to get a life. I guess I'm pretending to work on that right now. But mostly I'm avoiding doing the work to get there and just hoping that it will happen all on its own. Dang, whatever happened to just being carried away on the waves of destiny and getting someplace cool? Sometimes drifting through the sea of life doesn't get you anywhere unless you get out your paddle and help it along. That almost sounds like I know what I'm saying but I'm just making it up. Anyway, I just wanted to put "Something New" up here so that people know that "I'm not dead yet!"

Just Because

Hey there people, person.... stalker. You know, whoever it is that takes the time out of their day to read this useless waste of cyberspace. I have been thinking lately that I have not written anything here in a rather long time. I think mostly I've been using facebook to connect to people but sometimes it is therapeutic to actually take the time to write out your thoughts in another from. But really nothing much has been going on in my life anyway. Lots of work and lots of being lazy at home. But hopefully that will change. I've decided (as of basically right now) that it's high time I set some goals. As I don't want to spoil any surprises (I do have some plans for the future that I want secret so that no one notices if I fail) I will just keep things to myself for now. But have no fear....... 'cause..... well.... just don't. Anyway, that's it for me. I'll try to get back to you later!

*Well one goal I need to make sure gets done is that I get myself into an English class soon before I forget all the rules of writing*

Rather Random

So, what do you get when you randomly go down to Orem over night? Aside from free food from your friends and the opportunity to sleep on the floor?

All I Need To Know.....

All I Need To Know About Life I Learned From Final Fantasy

If you need money, go beat something up - You can go forever without sleep if you drink enough potions - You can't learn anything without experience - No matter how badly you are hurt you can always sleep it off - Nothing important happens without you around - You don't find anything new out by talking to the same person over and over again - Even after you beat the "boss" there is always someone harder - It's the little ones that will kill you - If you are having trouble getting somewhere hitch a ride on a big yellow bird, they can get ANYWHERE!! - No matter how many things you do to save the world no one knows your name - If you throw something at someone you never get it back - If you think something bad is going to happen just record your progress first - All bad guys have a really scary laugh - If you get really lost just read the guide book.... or ask Drew - Throwing money at people can be deadly - There are a lot of people around willing to give you free stuff - Stores will buy ANYTHING off you - You can't hit a flying object, even if it's practically sitting on your head, without a long range weapon - You don't get much tougher by undertaking the same challenge over and over again - If it's broke, Cid can fix it - Female generals are not to be messed with - Don't worry about being thrown in even the most heavily guarded prison, there is always a way out, and they usually don't stop to search you for weapons - Changing cloths allows you to do cool new things - Steal from everyone, they might have something good - If you find a chest or a box lieing around, you should feel free to take whatever's inside for your own - It's possible to jump really high or fall from a great height and still be just fine - We are the only society that created airships after cars - It's possible to hold your breath under water for 5 minutes or more at a time while doing strenuous physical activity, no problem - Walking into town with big heavy armor on and carrying around a veritable armory doesn't attract any attention - Throwing a parade is asking for trouble - You can wear the same cloths every day for months and no one cares - Never walk when you can run - Sin can be defeated - Most strongholds have back doors that are in plain view but apparently no one but you can find them
