Anticipation
Part I
Weeks of careful planing and preparation are about to finally come to a head. Every detail exactly as it should be. Every moment planed out perfectly.... except for one fatal flaw. Only the smallest oversight, anyone could have made the same mistake. The Gamestop I was ordering Final Fantasy XIII from was not doing a midnight release. Within a heartbeat anticipation turns to fear, all hope fading into bleak darkness. But then as if sent from heaven, one single glimmer catches the eye. One speck of light amongst the all consuming darkness. The AF Gamestop is doing a midnight release!
Part II
With new found anticipation and hope I serge headlong toward that faint glimmer of light in the darkness. As I struggle with each breath to get closer and closer, the darkness pulling at me, slowing my every step, my every attempt to achieve that oh so important goal. I get lost..... I cannot find the store I am looking for. All streets look the same, street signs are either not posted or do not give usable information. Time grows short, the hour approaches near when the store will close. And worse, they may be all out of the treasure that I seek. The darkness again begins to pull me into its cold embrace, mocking me, attempting to squeeze out every last bit of my finite will. Then, yet again, another faint hope shines before me. Out of the corner of my eye I see the red and white colors of the Gamestop sign.
Part III
Again I am hopeful, yet afraid. I have come so far. What will await me within? Will I be able to obtain the prize I seek? With heart pounding and breath shallow I enter the destination I have worked so hard to find. I approach the counter carefully, not wanting to face the reality I may find there. I open my mouth to speak but words fail me. I attempt it again but am only shakily able to put forth the question burning within. "Is it too late to reserve a copy of Final Fantasy?" I hold my breath, time stands still. I begin to feel feint, I may not make it through the next few moments. But then the answer comes. "No, I still have some left." The darkness that had enshrouded me for so long is finally lifted. I have found my treasure, my journey is nearly complete! I need only wait with all the patience that I can muster the last four and one half hours left until I can finally hold my precious treasure in my hands.
Part IV
As the appointed hour drew near my excitement could hardly be contained. With child like glee I climbed into my vehicle. I headed toward my destination as fast as the law would allow. But disaster struck yet again. I was lost, it was as if the store had moved in my absence. With almost no traffic every red light mocked my frazzled state as they held me for no apparent reason. Patience escaped me entirely. Without direction or a cool head with which to reorient myself I wandered in circles, endless, meaningless, circles. I cursed my unreliable sense of direction time and again, only serving to make the situation worse. By chance I happened to see my destination in the distance, however the streets continued to mock me, not offering me a passable way to make it to the location of my desire. But finally, even the most incoherent lay of land was unable to stop me from reaching my ultimate goal.

On My Mind
If you haven't noticed I prefer to explain things through music rather then words. So expect to keep seeing things like this.

I hate beautiful sales women!
Isn't it great when you are walking around the mall minding your own business, thinking about how to finger that scale on the guitar when suddenly you are jumped by what is probably the most dangerous thing in the civilized world, a sales person, and to make it worse a beautiful sales woman!
Of course it usually starts off easily enough with a simple question just to get your attention. Although I think asking "Are you married?" should be considered a low blow. I mean come on, is it my fault that I'm the only loser in my family that isn't married. You might as well jump out and stab me with a knife. Then you try to blow them off with a simple one word answer and walk away. But the good ones will step out in front of you so you can't walk away and ask you another question. By the way, asking "Do you have a girlfriend?" right after the first one is probably also a low blow. Just twist the knife why don't ya! But she still wouldn't let up and asks me to follow her anyway and how can a lonely guy say no to beautiful blue green eyes looking right into him?
So I follow her around her little cart, you know what I mean the ones that they set up right in the middle of your walking path so you have no way to get around them, and tells me to put my hands out. I still can't say no to those beautiful eyes and that flowing black hair. Then she starts putting this... stuff on my hands, who knows what that could be, I mean these are my hands people, I've gotta share a room with them. Then she tells me to start rubbing them together and I come to find that this stuff is like rubbing sticky sand on you, really scratchy and kinda slimy. So she goes off on her speal about sugar and gold and opening pores and what not and I still can't see past these eyes, there are mezmorising me.
Well then she rinses that off of me and gives me this lotion that is supposed to help close my pores back up or something and trap the gold in there.... I don't know. I was busy thinking about the fact that by this time she was practically holding my hands... it was a little weird. Then before I know it she's showing me an after shave too.... I haven't even shaved this week. How can it look like I want after shave? She tells me about how it smells nice and all the girls love it and she starts standing closer and closer to me while she's talking.
She then takes me over the the register and asks me if I would like both the after shave lotion and the skin exfoliating stuff or just one of the two. I tried to say that I really don't want any of it and that I don't have the money anyway but this beautiful short sales woman would not give up and I could only say no to those eyes for so long.
So, does anyone need some non abrasive sugar body exfoliation combining 24K gold with a unique vitamins formulation?

Go to Washington...
There are two times that I really eat well, when Amy comes to visit or when I go to visit her. It helps of coarse that her in-laws make good food too. :) It was fun to go to Washington to visit my family there but a week was a really long time. I could have done three days and been good but once the tickets where bought and I was already there it was too late to change the plan. Christmas was pretty good, it was nice to watch my nephews open their presents and I was feeling pretty cool that I was able to get good gifts for them. (All though the real hero there is Amy cause she told me what to buy) While I was there I also got to stand around in the cold while five supposedly intelligent men struggled to put together a play set for my brother-in-laws brother-in-law. It was good that we flew there though cause I love flying, I wish we could have done a few touch and goes before actually heading back to the Salt Lake airport but I guess the pilot was not on the same page as me. And of coarse Mom and I forgot out peanut butter sandwiches in Washington..... :'( I think it would be fun to go back there next Christmas too.... as long as I don't have to sleep on that hard mattress again or share a room with a loudly snoring old lady and can spend a little less time there. LOL, that almost makes it sound like I didn't enjoy myself.

Fenrir
For those of you who haven't seen it here is my "new" Mitsubishi Galant. I've gotta tell you this is a sweet ride. I love this car.

I tried to make it look heroic in these pictures but all I really did was get it dirty.... I was not happy with myself and proceeded to take myself out behind a warehouse and beat myself silly. Fortunately I was already behind a warehouse to start with.
